Weekly News: Oct. 10-13

We are learning…

This week the children focused on their ever growing

math skills. We brought out some of the exciting toys from the toys and games area in the classroom and compared their colors, shapes, and sizes. We looked at various sizes of strings from really small and short to really big and long! The children are beginning to learn the vocabulary associated with comparisons and I could not be more proud to hear them using it throughout the day in the classroom! You can help keep those mathematical brains growing by using comparative language, such as bigger/smaller, longest/shortest, etc., with your child.
