What We're Learning

Popsicle sticks, sponges, felt, paper plates, and sandpaper… what do they all have in common? You can make letters out of them! This week we gave the children a variety of materials and they created uppercase letters. They built letters, traced the letters with their fingers, and identified letters they’ve known for a while as well as some they are just beginning to recognize! How exciting!

We have been exploring different types of music in the classroom. We listened to Trans Siberian Orchestra, Jordan Smith (former winner of The Voice), and Pentatonix to discover that there are many ways music can be made. It doesn’t always have words or even instruments. The children even made their very own instruments… Jingle Bells!

From School to Home

Did you know that all it takes to make an eye-catching work of art is an aluminum cake

pan, a white piece of paper, a little bit of paint and an extra Christmas bulb, golf ball, or marbles? Check out this video and our pictures to see how!
